We invited LGBTQ influencers Max Emerson and Kyle Krieger to explore New Orleans and find their NOLAs. Knowing Max and Kyle’s history as “boyfriends” and our desire to show off our romantic city, we hoped to spark something exciting. Watch all four videos chronicling their adventures to see if we succeeded.
Max and Kyle, Episode One:
Where they went: French Quarter, Cafe du Monde, Mississippi River, Crescent Park, and Langlois Culinary Crossroads
Note: There are lots of cooking schools in the city and lots of exploring to be done in the French Quarter.
Max and Kyle, Episode Two:
Where they went: Bourbon House Seafood and Oyster Bar and the Krewe of Armeinius Den
Note: The Gay Mardi Gras Balls happen each year on the weekends leading up to Mardi Gras Day. There are currently five krewes, and each puts on a uniquely amazing show.
Max and Kyle, Episode Three:
Where they went: Studio Inferno, Washington Square Park, Bicycle named Desire, and Bayou St. John
Note: There are several bike tours and places to rent in the city. If you’re looking for art, we’d also suggest Julia Street in the Warehouse District.
Max and Kyle, Episode Four:
We are so glad that the guys had a good trip. They found their flavor, fun, fire, curiosity, and rhythm! Spin the #followyournola wheel to start your own adventures, and start your planning here with our Year-At-A-Glance list of LGBTQ happenings. See you soon!
