All Weekend

1. BUKU Music + Art Project — Mardi Gras World plays host to the sixth BUKU, featuring acts like deadmau5 and Travis Scott within an industrial, artistic vibe. Get the scoop here.

2. Sun Belt Basketball Championships Quarterfinals for the Sun Belt tournament start Friday with semifinals on Saturday and the championship game on Sunday. The Lakefront Arena has all the action! Tickets from $15.

3. Sacred Music Festival Head to The Healing Center for this fest, which brings together various cultures and traditions to share prayers, chants, music, and more. The fest runs from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Free.

4. Irish Channel Parade Kicking off at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Magazine Street at 12:30 p.m., the parade runs up Magazine Street, where the revelry continues along Magazine, disbanding at Jackson Avenue and Annunciation Street. Free.

5. Soul River at Historic Riverlands Church — Plan for a quick day trip to Historic Riverlands for the opening of their Soul River exhibit, spotlighting African-American music, from 4-6 p.m. Call (985) 536.4717 for more information.

Vet-A-Gogo Fundraiser Support Dr. Dusty’s 501(c) feral cat spay and neuter program on Sunday at Mimi’s in the Marigny from 2-4 p.m. Your general admission ticket of $10 includes wine and bites and goes to a great cause.
