Four Favorite Eateries for New Orleans Seafood

Yummy Crawfish Quesadillas from Bywater Barbeque

Being the New Orleanian that I am, I absolutely love seafood. Crawfish and shrimp are my favorite addition to any local meal! I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite dishes at great New Orleans restaurants around town that will definitely leave you in seafood heaven. From Downtown to Lakeview there is always somewhere to go to get in touch with the fisherman inside of you.

Roux on Orleans
You can find one of my favorite dishes at Roux on Orleans, located inside the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. Known for its fine Creole cuisine, they offer delicious breakfast and dinner dishes. Along with the beautiful atmosphere, you can enjoy my favorite appetizer: Louisiana Shrimp and Goat Cheese Crepes. This dish brings me into a happy space especially when I see the Chardonnay Creole Crème topping. A great entrée to try is the Pasta Jambalaya with penne pasta with Creole Country Andouille, Shrimp and Chicken, Braised with Onions, Pepper and Tomatoes. If you’re looking for breakfast in New Orleans, try The Chef’s Creation: Louisiana Crawfish Hash, fresh Crawfish Tails, Brabant Potatoes, Holy Trinity, Poached Eggs and a Classic Hollandaise Sauce. It’s a perfect start to your day!

Bywater Barbeque and Deli
When visiting the Marigny area, check out Bywater Barbeque & Deli. Their garden area is a relaxing place to chill out and have some lunch! Make sure to try their fully-stuffed crawfish quesadillas. If you’re looking for some classic New Orleans cuisine, try the incredible catfish and a rum punch!

Salu Restaurant
It’s no secret I spend an abnormal amount of time eating at Salu, so of course you knew it would make this list. The Crabmeat and Four Cheese Flatbread at Salu always helps my day run a little smoother. Another great dish to try is the Cumin Spiked Crawfish Timbale. I suggest you try to grab a table outdoors so you can watch the people walk down Magazine Street.

Redemption Orleans Revival Cuisine
Redemption Orleans Revival Cuisine is one impressive restaurant; it’s really beautiful and seriously looks like a church. Dine here for lunch or dinner in Mid-City and try the wonderful Crawfish Etouffee or Louisiana Seafood Salad.

These few places are just a starting point for you to start a seafood adventure of your own.
