Beignets for days! Well, just one day, technically. Beignet Fest rings in its inaugural ode to deep-fried pastry on Saturday. Also on deck: New Orleans Moon Festival; the Cirque de Cuisine culinary tour; St. Claude Second Saturdays; and Japan Fest. Get all the details below.

1. Beignet Fest — Taste beignets in all forms at Lafayette Square from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Then, learn how to make ’em at home.

2. Japan Fest — Japan Society of New Orleans hosts this event at NOMA from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Martial arts demonstrations, a tour of the museum’s Japanese works of art, and Japanese food are just a few of the highlights. Admission is $5; free for NOMA members.

3. St. Claude Second Saturdays — This monthly art walk starts at 6 p.m. and lasts until about 9 p.m. featuring more than 20 independent venues. Free.

4. Cirque de Cuisine Culinary Tour — Chefs from Compere Lapin, Trinity, Grand Isle, and others blend tantalizing bites with the French Quarter’s rich history during this roving culinary tour stopping at 10 private homes. The tour starts at noon on Sunday. Tickets from $35.

All weekend

5. New Orleans Moon Festival — The Vietnamese Moon Festival takes place all weekend at the Mary Queen of Vietnam Church, 14001 Dwyer Blvd. Visit the church between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; and 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday for celebrations, food, entertainment, and more. Free.
