Spring festivals are cropping up all over the city, including the inaugural Bourbon Festival. Tennessee Williams Fest encourages you to let loose your best “Stella!,” and Brunch Fest goes to the dogs. Not feeling the fest scene? Check out Chris Rock at the Saenger or enjoy the great outdoors at the Hike the Lafitte Greenway event.
1. Bourbon Festival — Seminars, tastings, and a bourbon brunch are all on the menu at the inaugural Bourbon Festival, taking place in and around the Marriott New Orleans. See which bourbons made the list! Tickets vary.
3. Chris Rock at the Saenger — The comedian takes the stage three nights in a row (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) as part of his Total Blackout tour. Tickets from $49.50.
4. Barcadia Games — Watch well-known New Orleanians battle it out in an epic arcade/burger-eating contest at Barcadia on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., and enjoy concurrent drink specials. This fun afternoon benefits Operation Spark, a non-profit that provides prosperity for low-opportunity individuals by presenting the fastest route to a career in software development. (They’ll also be participating with a team on Saturday.)
