The start of October in New Orleans is the beginning of a month full of fall breezes, festivals, and German traditions. Yes, Oktoberfest is here, and in honor of the celebrations going on around the city, we’re compiled a list of our favorite biergartens – or outdoor areas for hoisting mugs of beer (Leiderhosen optional).

We’ve picked a variety of places for these reasons. Some are actual German biergartens. Some have “Beer Garden” in the name. Others have lots of German and German-inspired beers, and some are just super cool places to enjoy a beer, al fresco. Prost!
