Like much of the city, Emeril’s restaurants are in the Carnival spirit. Delmonico pairs classic hurricanes with king cake doughnuts, while NOLA Restaurant makes a bold Carnival Punch to stand up to king cake bread pudding. Another favorite is the king cake monkey bread served with bourbon icing and caramel sauce available at Emeril’s New Orleans. The cocktail perfect pairing? A JFP (Justice, Faith, and Power) Southside that combines the fresh yet heady notes of blackberry liqueur with mint and lime. A purple blackberry, green mint sprig and gold sugar rim are obvious garnishes for the season.
