Pride in New Orleans is an extravaganza with parties, a family day, a parade, and much more. It’s a celebration of the LGBT community that has nearly tripled in size since 2013. This year, it’s happening on June 7-9. If you’re thinking of joining us, here’s some insider’s tips and a little inspiration to plan your trip for 2019 Pride!

A few things to note if you are planning your trip to Pride 2019:

  1. There are events for everyone! Whether you’re gay, a lesbian, trans, an ally, an LGBT family, or anything in between, Pride welcomes you and New Orleans wants to be a part of your story.
  2. New Orleans was recently voted the 2nd most welcoming city for LGBT people in America. Now that’s a powerful statement that we are proud of and we would love to celebrate that with you.
  3. It will be hot. Make sure you bring clothes appropriate for the weather. The good news is that in New Orleans, we LOVE costumes and you can get as creative or funky with your outfit as you want to help beat the heat.
  4. Hotels book up fast. Make sure to start planning your trip early, as hotels tend to book up quickly during this extravagant weekend. Check out some of the best hotel deals here.
