I had the pleasure of spending my Wednesday morning with the beautifully creative, petite powerhouse, Tiffany Napper. Tiffany originally moved to New Orleans from Ruston, Louisiana in 2001 after graduating college. Like so many of us, she has since gone away, come back, gone away and finally come back to this highly contagious city we all call “home.” With her company, Bats on Strings, Tiffany is a publicist and social media guru for many local (and national) musical acts and creative artists and also works with media company Yamaha Entertainment as the artist liaison and public relations pro for such notable names as John Legend, Luke Bryan, Diane Birch and the super sexy Robin Thicke.

I have always been inspired by what Tiffany does to create interesting content and branding collaborations for her clients. She has an understanding of the artist that is unparalleled in the public relations industry. She knows just how to grow a brand or creative in order to move the needle forward while keeping integrity in tact (for example, local artist and forest-loving Rebecca Rebouche on the cover of Garden and Gun last summer).

When Tiffany purchased her Laurel Street home in Uptown New Orleans three years ago, she converted the back shed into a craft studio with the help of her dad. This crafting suite has turned into the prototype room and creative concept place for her bustling handbag business. With the advent of the NFL bag regulations, Tiffany knew that she had to create an option for women that was not only comfortable and functional, but most importantly a stylish take on the new clear bag regulations. What started as a side project has grown into a fully functioning and growing startup as the bags and wallets are now sold in 15 stores in the Southeast region. What’s next? Tiffany has created a new line of clear tote bags (measuring 12” x 10”) with leather handles, as well as a more robust offering of her leather wallets and purses in addition to the t-shirts, iPhone cases and accessories already up for grabs at Bats on Tees.

I highly recommend you follow Tiffany {Instagram | Facebook | Twitter} and keep up with her bustling pop-up shop schedule.
I had a wonderful time visiting and photographing the charming and highly-functioning home of Tiffany Napper – check out the photos below.
Additionally, here are three things that Tiffany suggests any visitor do while in New Orleans:
1. Take a ride on our historic streetcars.
2. Domenica for happy hour pizza and drinks.
3. Bar Tonique for some amazing New Orleans cocktail culture.
When Tiffany wants to be super indulgent, she will park it at the Theatres at Canal Place for a night of movies complete with wine service and popcorn and candy to boot! (I have to co-sign on this one with Tiffany – the Theatres are a fantastic way to treat yourself.)
