GoNOLA Flickr Pick Of The Week: Jazz Fest

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, more commonly known as simply Jazz Fest, is the largest festival we host here in the Big Easy. This seven day cultural event is known for highlighting the incredible music, food and entertainment this city has to offer. Starting April 26 – May 5, you can catch any number of huge headlining artists ranging from Fleetwood Mac to Billy Joel, or an extensive collection of local New Orleans musicians all while snacking on delicious food, like Crawfish Monica. It’s quite a pairing, I tell you! If you’re not familiar with this musical extravaganza, we have an insider’s guide with pro tips as well as headliner and food pairings to help you out. Oh, and if this is totally depressing you because you can’t make Jazz Fest this year, we have a fix for that too. Check out  this fest food recipe on how to put your best festin’ hat, lawn chair and abita beer to good use!
