GoNOLA Photo of the Week: Much Ado About Nothing

The New Orleans Museum of Art and the NOLA Project will co-host the Shakespeare play Much Ado About Nothing in the Besthoff Sculpture Garden this spring.

The New Orleans Museum of Art and The NOLA Project are at it again collaborating to bring you their third Shakespeare play. This time around, they’ll be showing Much Ado about Nothing, a funny and festive comedy that pits two of Shakespeare’s most beloved characters, Benedick and Beatrice, together in”a war of words and wits.”  Beginning May 8, the show will play on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays May 8-26 and May 10 and May 24 at 7 p.m. in the gorgeous Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden. A beautiful tale in a beautiful garden? I’ll take that! Just remember, bring your own chair or a blanket and get there around 5 p.m. to make yourself at home before the show gets rolling. There will also be New Orleans food truck fare available all night and will rotate between La Cocinita, Green to Go NOLA, and Crepes a la Cart – no outside food and beverage are allowed.  Tickets are $18 for general admission and $10 for NOMA members, university students and children which can be purchased on the NOMA website.
