The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival begins on April 26 and closes on May 5. A rather significant date – Cinco de Mayo! But instead of packing up and going home, the celebration most certainly continues. As many probably know, The Iguanas are a Cinco de Mayo mainstay, so this week’s New Orleans All the Way Live program features a full hour of the band along with a visit to the Rum House, New Orleans’ only Caribbean taqueria serving up some eclectic tacos for the celebration!
The episode also features the popular Mid City festival, Bayou Boogaloo! Like most festivals around here, it includes great music, delicious food and an array of crafts for sale. The event is also extremely family-friendly with a kids stage and many activities for children of all ages. Wondering how it’s different from other New Orleans festivals? You’ll find out in this episode! Listen to the full “Cinco de Boogaloo” episode of New Orleans All the Way Live.
