One can see New Orleans from a street car, a pedicab, an air boat, and a steamboat. Now Gulf Coast Aviation can take you through the clouds. Situated out at New Orleans ‘other’ airport – Lakefront Airport – for under a couple hundred bucks, you and a friend can get a literal birds eye view of whatever part of the area you care to visit.

You go up in a Cessna 172  Sky Hawk, the safest small plane you dream about owning and running to the Bahamas every weekend. Did you know there have been more of them made than any other airplane? I didn’t either until I looked for a picture of one online. Gulf Coast is also a Cessna pilot center – meaning they are a flight school endorsed by Cessna itself.
