Instagram has transformed how people document their lives. Whether it’s a night out with friends, travels abroad, architecture, or even breakfast, Instagram has made sharing photos fun and connecting with others incredibly easy. We are fortunate enough to live in a vibrant, inspiring, and highly photographable city filled to the brim with creative and innovation Instagrammers. Here are a few of my favorites.
Michael Tucker is a traveling photographer based in Louisiana. Michael’s work is good — maybe too good. His ability to capture light and form make for stunning images across Louisiana and his travels abroad.
NOLAbeings is a daily photo storytelling project inspired by Brandon Stanton’s “Humans of New York.” Claire Bangser’s portraits and stories of the New Orleanians she encounters offer something real and powerful; it’s an insightful look into the human spirit.
Bloodhound is a creative studio located in New Orleans. Fresh and airy are two words I would use to describe these shots. Marcie Matthew, founder of Bloodhound, has created a simple, yet curious collection of images of her day to day life, along with her sweet pug, Tuesday.
Frank Relle is a photographer born and raised in New Orleans who has been featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Southern Review and The Oxford American. He captures our Louisiana landscape beautifully and skillfully.
Graham Blackall is a New Orleans-based food blogger and photographer with an eye for drool-worthy pictures. He may be young, but he is already making major strides as an intern for the Besh Restaurant Group.
