The rivalry continues. That’s what fans can expect at the 2017 Bayou Classic on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 4 p.m., when the Grambling State Tigers take on the Southern University Jaguars in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. This year marks the 44th meeting of the two HBCU rivals, an event that draws more than 200,000 to the Crescent City. Between the game, the epic battle of the bands, and the parade, you’ll see why it’s a tradition that runs so deep.

The party starts before the game on Friday, November 24 with the Greek Show and Battle of the Bands. Head to the Superdome when doors open at 5 p.m. for a show that is sure to get you on your feet. Prepare yourself – the energy in the Dome will be electrifying.

While gameday kickoff isn’t until 4 p.m., there’s still plenty to do to get you pumped for the rivalry. Participate in the Doc Griggs 2X Around the Dome at 8 a.m., then watch the Bayou Classic Parade from the French Market to the Dome at 9:30 a.m. The Fan Festival runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Champions Square, and the game starts at 4 p.m. Some people come just for the halftime show during the game, so be sure to make it back in your seats for that. And what’s a celebration in New Orleans without an after party? Close out the weekend and head to the Official Bayou Classic After Party at Metropolitan Nightclub at 11 p.m. Happy Bayou Classic, y’all!
