Exploring a new city can be both exhilarating and exhausting. Sometimes we need a little break from sightseeing in even the most fascinating cities (ahem, New Orleans). Whether you’re looking for a luxurious getaway or want to finish off your trip with a little pampering, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite spas in the city to get some serious self-care.

Belladonna

This wellness spa has been a staple of uptown New Orleans for over 20 years. Belladonna offers professional services that range from skincare experts, body therapists, and more. Book an appointment and arrive 20-30 minutes earlier to enjoy the dry sauna, or sit outside in the shaded garden with a cup of tea and enjoy the sights and sounds of the fish pond and waterfall. Upon arrival, check in with one of the friendly concierges before enjoying amenities like fluffy robes, fresh linens, and luxurious bath products. Half-day and full-day celebrations for special occasions are also available. Enhance your treatments with add-ons like CBD oil, cupping, or foot reflexology for a total wellness experience. 2900 Magazine St., 504.891.4393

Earthsavers

Total mind body health is the theme at Earthsavers, a long time wellness haven for locals. Part of what sets them apart from the rest is that they offer their own specialty formulated products. Unique to Earthsavers, they have an onsite registered dietician who can create a customized wellness plan based on your needs including a body composition test (BIA) to measure hydration, fat, and muscle percentages. Though they are known for their signature Earthsavers massages and facial, you’ll find everything you need for a complete wellness experience. 5501 Magazine St., 504.899.8555

Woodhouse Day Spa

This full-service spa is located in the colorful and funky neighborhood of Mid-City, just a couple of miles away from the French Quarter. Woodhouse signature service includes the Signature Minkyti facial which combines organic seaweed to deeply hydrate and nourish the face, and exfoliation to establish and maintain the skin’s pH balance. If you’re in need of a deeply restorative experience, opt for the Woodhouse Escape, with seven specialized treatments that include a dry brush exfoliation, and a full body stone massage, and reflexology. 4030 Canal St., 504.482.6652

Waldorf Astoria Spa

Located inside the historic Roosevelt Hotel in downtown New Orleans, the Waldorf Astoria Spa is an oasis of uninterrupted tranquility. This luxury spa offers a full range of services, from facials, full-body massages and couples’ massages, to manicures and complete spa day experiences. If you want to go all out and make it a whole day to yourself (as you should), have a meal at Domenica afterwards (reservations recommended), and then mozy on over to the Sazerac, the hotel bar for a drink of your choice. 130 Roosevelt Way. 504.648.1200

Spa Atlantis

You’ll find this serene spa in the heart of all the sights and sounds of the French Quarter. Whether you want to freshen up with a blow-dry, get a quick trim, or you’re in need of a full day of rejuvenating, this is a one-stop relaxation shop. If you’ve got time to spend, we recommend the rose hydrating body treatment which begins with a full-body exfoliation and a mud bath with soothing rose clay extracted from the Provence of France. If your body is in need of a little TLC after a full day of exploring, try the 25-minute soothing foot treatment which combines targeted massage work with essential oils and nourishing creams. 536 Bienville St. 504.566.8088
