Fabulous Female Fun in New Orleans at FestiGals

Celebrate the women in your life with a weekend full of fun, female empowerment known as FestiGals. From June 21-23, 2019, experience New Orleans’ only just-for-girls festival and fundraiser that’s all about women helping women. It’s a fabulous opportunity for networking, learning, or just enjoying the city with activities that range from personal and professional enrichment seminars to a parade through the French Quarter.

This will mark FestiGals’ ninth year — in previous years, more than 2,200 women from all over the country have joined in. The festival has raised more than $246,000 for organizations that support causes affecting women, such as the American Heart Association, Dress for Success, Breastoration, and women’s and children’s shelters. This year’s proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.

Friday, June 21

Friday is the first day of the festival. The day will include the Women Celebrating Women’s Conference at the Jung Hotel from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. During that time, you can attend the Hats Off Luncheon at 12:30 p.m. A VIP Welcome Reception followed by a dinner at Dooky Chase Restaurant will round out the events for the night.

Saturday, June 23

After an empowering, thought-provoking, and inspiring Friday, Saturday is all about exploring New Orleans. Go on a Garden District Home Tour at 9 a.m., then participate in additional activities in the afternoon. The festival’s hallmark event, the Step Up Second Line Parade, falls on Saturday night. Kick the night off at the Step Up Pre-Party at the New Orleans Jazz Museum beginning at 6 p.m. Then, parade with your sisters through the iconic French Quarter from the museum to Harrah’s Casino beginning at 8 p.m. The Step Up After Party will follow at Harrah’s.

Sunday, June 24

The festival closes out with a Drag Queen Brunch at 11 a.m. Purchase tickets to all of these great events and more here.
