Something special happens every Thursday at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in the Warehouse District. At Ogden After Hours, in the span of two hours you can hear the stories that make some of the best musicians in New Orleans so interesting in addition to an intimate concert, all in a beautiful art-filled setting with delicious New Orleans food and cocktails to boot.
On this episode of GoNOLA Radio, the Ogden After Hours’ Curator for Southern Music, Libra Lagrone, joins us to share the inside scoop on what it’s like at the weekly music showcase and some of the most memorable moments from past performances and interviews. Ogden After Hours provides a unique opportunity for the interview panel including members of the New Orleans music community as well as the attending audience to ask almost nearly anything they are curious about and walk away knowing something about these talented artists they would have never known otherwise.
In addition to what you can experience at the event itself, you can extend your evening before, after or both at the many wonderful options the Warehouse District offers. Enjoy a flavorful Caribbean dinner with drinks at Café Carmo, try old New Orleans cocktails at Bellocq, grab a sandwich and a signature cocktail at Cochon Butcher. There’s no shortage of great dining and drinking options in the neighborhood surrounding the Ogden Museum of Southern Art.
Listen to this episode of GoNOLA Radio with Libra Lagrone to discover the midweek magic you can find at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art every Thursday in New Orleans.
