Praise Fest Celebrates Gospel Music in New Orleans

This year is the 11th annual Praise Fest, a free, three-day festival in New Orleans happening October 18-20 featuring Gospel music, soul food, and family fun. Praise Fest is held outdoors along the banks of Bayou St. John near City Park.

Over a dozen artists are poised to take the stage during the festival’s weekend. The sounds of praise make for the perfect soundtrack to relax along the banks of the bayou or explore historic Faubourg St. John.

Praise Fest is free and takes place daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the corner of Orleans Avenue and North Jefferson Davis Parkway. In addition to a weekend filled with praise and music, Praise Fest will feature the following events:

Friday, Oct. 18 – Seniors Day
Saturday, Oct. 19 – Career & Health Fair
Sunday, Oct. 20 – The Finale Closing Celebration
