Read All About It: NOLA’s Little Free Libraries

Find locations of Little Free Library in New Orleans with our neighborhood heat map.

Take a book, leave a book. It’s the inspiration behind Little Free Libraries — a global project that embraces our shared love for reading. Maybe we’re biased, but we think these birdhouse-like structures are especially cute in New Orleans, where their Victorian shapes, bright colors, and compact sizes reflect some of our own iconic architecture.

If you spot a Little Free Library, take a peek inside and grab a book that piques your interest. Just remember to return it at another Little Free Library. Our heat map tells ya where to find them — although there are so many in NOLA that we couldn’t fit every single one. Instead, we chose a few from several neighborhoods around town. For a complete list, visit the Little Free Library map tool, select “City,” and type in “New Orleans.”
