Fifi Mahony’s: More Than Just a Mardi Gras Wig Shop

We are in the midst of carnival season, and that means Mardi Gras will be here before y’all know it. If you’re coming into town for Fat Tuesday, you’d better blend in with the locals, and the only way to do that is sport a festive new ‘do. What, not feeling up to dyeing your hair green? Relax, you can still have fun and get into the Mardi Gras mood with a less permanent way of showing your carnival spirit.

The best place in town to get a quality wig, hands down, is Fifi Mahony’s. I’ve been pining over and purchasing their wigs for years and own no less than 14 wigs with no plans of stopping. Don’t believe me? Click on my writer profile for evidence from Mardi Gras 2010.

No French Quarter shopping excursion is complete without a little sparkle and shine from this over the top glam hair and makeup boutique. They carry everything you need to fulfill your inner burlesque star. From false eyelashes, glitter, pasties, rhinestone jewelry, colorful mascaras, electric eyeshadows – if you can think of it, Fifi Mahony’s carries it.

Feel free to browse their extensive selection of wigs and try them on until you get the perfect pink locks or teal tresses. The regular stock isn’t over the top enough for ya? Fifi Mahony’s also does custom creations, often seen on local celebrities and nationally acclaimed stars as well. If you can dream it up, they can create it for you.

So do you have a favorite wig from Fifi’s? Where do you wear yours?
