Little Miss Muffin: A Lakeview Institution

Having served its customers since 1970, this truly is a Lakeview institution. Owner Monique Sobrina bought the business from her grandmother, thus keeping it a family establishment for 40 years. Generations of families have been shopping here which makes for a really unique experience. After Katrina, the shop moved to a temporary location in Metairie but the store did so well that they kept the second location running even after the original Harrison Ave. shop reopened.

Little Miss Muffin has a loyal customer base and utilizes Facebook to help promote new items by posting pictures when new shipments arrive. In addition to the large children’s clothing and housewares selections, there is an extremely popular women’s clothing section.
