Channel Childhood at Carousel Gardens and Storyland in New Orleans

A great place full of fun and magic for the kids to go on a family vacation to New Orleans is Carousel Gardens and Storyland in City Park.

In New Orleans’ City Park, there’s a tucked away chamber of childhood fantasies that can become reality on any given afternoon. The Carousel Gardens Amusement Park includes fun rides for kids and adults as well as Storyland – a place inhabited by nostalgic fable characters like Humpty Dumpty and Mother Goose. This is just one section of the massive City Park filled with beautiful nature and of course the Sculpture Garden and NOMA, just to start with. Access to the wonder of Carousel Gardens and Storyland is just a quick streetcar or cab ride away. Don’t miss it on a trip with the family!

The Carousel Gardens at City Park is a great family friendly stop on your
visit to New Orleans. It’s good for kids and kids at heart of all ages.
There’s tons of stuff for fun for the whole family. Carousel Gardens is
located inside New Orleans City Park. The best way to get here is to take
the streetcar from your hotel downtown. No matter how old you are, you’re
never too grown up to enjoy the magic and wonder of a carousel ride. What
makes the carousel here at New Orleans City Park so cool is the fact that
it’s from 1906 and hasn’t changed much since. There’s more than just the
carousel. There’s train rides and a whole amusement park, including a
ferris wheel. Right next door is Story Land, which is a little park that’s chock full of
the things that you’ll remember from your favorite childhood stories and
nursery rhymes, like, “The Three Little Pigs,” the whale from “Pinocchio,”
even Mother Goose, and so much more. So now that you’ve gotten to see all
the fun stuff there is to do here at City Park, kind of tough to decide
which ones to do, right? The best way to tackle that is to get the all you
can ride pass.
