It may come as a shock considering their name and home base, but the Confederacy of Cruisers like to take it easy. It’s a good philosophy to adopt when absorbing all the beauty and history of New Orleans’ colorful houses and landmarks, while biking a leisurely six miles through New Orleans neighborhoods. And with local characters as your tour guides, you’re going to want to soak up all the witty wisdom they’ll impart. The Confederacy of Cruisers offer their New Orleans Culinary Bike Tour, Creole New Orleans Tour, Ninth Ward Tour and yes, a History of Drinking in New Orleans tour. Each tour welcomes up to eight participants and lasts up to three hours. Reservations are highly recommended. Kids can join in on the fun, too, at French Quartour Kids Tours – friends of the Cruisers who offer French Quarter walking tours. Reservations can be made online or the Confederacy of Cruisers can be reached at 504-400-5468. Time to get rollin!
