This weekend, we’re doing it “choose-your-own-adventure” style. Sit back and relax, enjoy a meal during COOLinary New Orleans, or stroll through the museum(s) of your choice during Museum Month. We’re kicking back this weekend and creating our own type of fun with our picks for the weekend – you should too!

COOLinary – Enjoy a meal from one of over 100 New Orleans restaurants with COOLinary New Orleans. Brunch, lunch, and dinner are available at these spots for a fixed-price, giving us all the more reason to go out and enjoy a delicious meal.

Museum Month – Have you been meaning to make it to a New Orleans museum? Now’s the perfect time. Grab a membership at any participating museum and enjoy admission to 17 different museums all August long. Make a day out of it and visit as many as you can. Some of our favorite exhibits of the moment are the New Orleans Museum of Art’s Changing Course: Reflections on New Orleans Histories and the National WWII Museum’s So Ready for Laughter: The Legacy of Bob Hope.

Take a dip in a NOLA pool – Enjoy summer while it’s still here by lounging at one of these NOLA pools. Once you’re done cooling off, enjoy a summer cocktail at one of these rooftop bars.

Live Music – If you haven’t had a chance to see Grammy award-winners Lost Bayou Ramblers perform, now’s your chance. Catch their show Friday night at the Joy Theater at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $20. For more music this weekend, check out our Live Music roundup for August here.
