BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet

BeauSoleil (Beautiful Sun) describes their musical style as a kind of musical gumbo, as they take the rich Cajun traditions of Louisiana with artfully blended elements of zydeco, New Orleans jazz, Tex-Mex, country, blues and more to make a satisfying musical recipe. BeauSoleil’s musical gumbo appeals across a wide spectrum of folks, as they are not only of one of the few bands playing traditional Louisiana music to earn a Grammy award, they’ve won two, capturing the award in 1997 for their album L’Amour Ou La Folie (Love Or Folly) and in 2009 for Live at the 2008 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. With infectious, upbeat tunes and an easy, folksy sound BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet is sure to be a great show. Who knows you might just be listening to another Grammy winning performance when they take to the Fais-Do-Do stage on Friday, April 27 at 3:40.
