Swing the spotlight over to Mom this weekend because it’s all about her! With enough restaurants to appease her appetite, a champagne stroll down Magazine Street, and Audubon Zoo‘s annual celebration, she’ll be over the moon. You can still find time for yourself, though, with Veggie Fest, Brennan’s Turtle Parade, and Rosé Fest at Bacchanal!
All weekend
1. NOLA Veggie Fest — Celebrate all things vegetable in true New Orleans style Saturday and Sunday at Veggie Fest hosted by the Humane Society of Louisiana. This family-friendly includes free food samples, local vendors, cooking demonstrations, and more at Kingsley House. Free.
SATURDAY
2. Champagne Stroll — Raise a glass to Mom one day early with Magazine Street Merchants Association’s annual Champagne Stroll. Shops along the six-mile stretch will stay open later than usual with live music, special offers, and cups of bubbly. Free.
Brennan’s Turtle Parade — We have a parade for pretty much everything down here, including the resident turtles of Brennan’s courtyard fountain. Deemed the “Slowest Second Line on Earth,” the 10-float wagon parades through the French Quarter starting at 417 Royal at 11 a.m. Free.

Rosé Fest — Rosé all day is the theme of the day Saturday. From 2:30 to 5 p.m., your favorite Bywater wine bar will serve more than 50 varieties of rosé both upstairs and downstairs in the courtyard. Make sure to get there early and to wear pink! Wristbands are $10.
Sunday

Mother’s Day at Audubon Zoo — It doesn’t cost a thing for your Ma to get into this bash! Audubon Zoo’s Mother’s Day Celebration is back, and it wouldn’t be the same without the Soul Queen of New Orleans, Irma Thomas. Craft tents, special treats, and tons of fun will all be provided. Free for moms, normal ticket price for others ($17.95-$22.95)
